The M&TM Postnatal Support Group
Having a baby is a period of huge change for all new parents, let alone when you are dealing with a chronic hormone imbalance which is often misunderstood, misdiagnosed and can have life limiting symptoms. My years of experience as a Health Visitor, coupled with my unique experience personally, means that I am well equipped to support you and your family during this transition and beyond.
** NEXT GROUP NOT YET RELEASED **
The Details
The group is held weekly, via Zoom, meaning you can join wherever you are in the world, or in your PJs. I know how difficult it can be to get out when you have a small child/ren and have menopause symptoms. Everything can feel overwhelming and I wanted this to be easily accessible.
You will be part of a small group, with no more than 6 women, and have access to a private chat function within the M&TM online membership. This is a space that is only available to your specific group and is a completely safe space. It is accessed via mighty networks, away from social media.
There is a topic each week that we will discuss, and I will provide evidence based advice and signposting, keeping in mind the reality of having a young family. The specifically created PDFs are uploaded onto our private space within the online community. There are journal prompts for each week, should you want to reflect.

Week One- Introductions, Sharing our Stories, Essentials and Bonding
This first week is introductions and sharing our stories and situations in a safe, compassionate place. You don't have to share if you don't want to. We will discuss mental wellbeing, as this is so important always, but particularly when parenting. There will also be a discussion around the essentials appointments in the first year of parenthood to help remind you as I know how difficult brain fog can be. We will discuss bonding and how this can be impacted by our fertility journey and complicated parenting situations. There will be lots of tips on how to improve your bond and what to do if you feel you aren't bonding well.
Week Two- Wellbeing, Managing Overwhelm and Making Small Changes to have Big Impact
We will focus on wellbeing and why it is so important, as well as self care and how we can implement it. This week we will discuss how we can improve our symptoms and long term health, without making huge changes, as that is impossible as a parent. It can be really overwhelming to read a vast amount of information about what menopausal women should be doing, however most of these women don't have tiny children. I will share tips on how to manage overwhelm when parenting and we can discuss any of your triggers and try to improve these together.
Week Three- Baby Massage Session
We will learn the full infant massage routine, as well as the benefits of massage and when not to massage. This can really be used on any age child, it is such a great tool.
Week Four- Symptoms and Parenting
Managing perimenopause symptoms and raising a family, a unique combo, and so difficult at times. We will unpick the main symptoms that affect parenting and ways to improve them. Sleep for you and baby will be discussed and you will have access to the sleep webinar, with sleep and menopause specialist, Dr Caitlin.
Week Five- Libido, Pelvic Floor and Vaginal Health
These topics are so important, yet we are still embarrassed to talk about them. We will discuss them together and I will signpost you to evidence based information.

"It felt good to connect with other mums with similar struggles, I felt heard and supported throughout the sessions and learnt loads."
"Lovely resources - the time and effort put into the presentation made them easy to read and use. Good balance of information and discussion and nice to have a group of people in a similar position."
The group was so incredibly helpful. Emily was so supportive and understanding. I felt like I could be totally open in the group without judgement, which is hard to come by as a Mum."
